Dan’s 30 Day Song Challenge

A 30 day challenge in just one post.  Impressive, I know.

1. Your Favorite Song: Bleed American by Jimmy Eat World

2. Your Least Favorite Song: Macarena by Los Del Rio.  It’s just so stupid.

3. A Song That Makes You Happy: Today by The Smashing Pumpkins

4. A Song That Makes You Sad: Here’s Looking at You Kid by Gaslight Anthem.  I listened to this song once, almost cried, and determined it to be too sad to listen to again.

5. A Song That Reminds You of Someone: Houdini by Foster the People

6. A Song That Reminds You of Somewhere: Sowing Season by Brand New.  It reminds me of grad school in a weird way, where I listened to The Devil and God are Raging Inside Me pretty constantly.

7. A Song That Reminds You of a Certain Event: Build God, Then We’ll Talk by Panic at the Disco.  I’m not telling why.

8. A Song That You Know All the Words To: Loud and Clear by The Sleeping

9. A Song That You Can Dance To: Internet Killed the Video Star by The Limousines.  Awesome music video by the way:

10. A Song That Makes You Fall Asleep: Say It Ain’t So by Weezer.  Just so chill.

11. A Song From Your Favorite Band: At the Bottom by Brand New.  I don’t actually have a favorite band so I just picked Brand New since they seemed to populate my iTunes the most.

12. A Song From a Band You Hate: Use Somebody by Kings of Leon

13. A Song That is a Guilty Pleasure: Whoa by Paramore.  I don’t really tell anyone this because it’s embarrassing, but I like to watch live videos involving this song.  This one from Anaheim is best:

14. A Song That No One Would Expect You to Love: Something to Die For by The Sounds

15. A Song That Describes You: Gangsta’s Paradise by Coolio.  Obviously.

16. A Song That You Used to Love but Now Hate: Who Let the Dogs Out by Baha Men.  I don’t think I loved this song but it was popular.  When sporting arenas would play, I would cringe.

17. A Song You Hear Often on the Radio: 1901 by Phoenix

18. A Song You Wish You Heard on the Radio: You Won’t Know by Brand New

19. A Song from Your Favorite Album: Millstone by Brand New.  The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me strikes again.

20. A Song You Listen to When You’re Angry: Break Stuff by Limp Bizkit.  I don’t actually do this but it would be awesome if I did.  It reminds me of this scene when Drama loses it in Entourage:

21. A Song You Listen to When You’re Happy: This is the Life by Two Door Cinema Club

22. A Song You Listen to When You’re Sad: Good Times by Marcy Playground

23. A Song You Want to Play at Your Wedding: Sleepyhead by Passion Pit, since scoring your wedding video to this song is always an excellent idea:

24. A Song You Want to Play at Your Funeral: Stairway to Heaven by Led Zeppelin

25. A Song That Makes You Laugh: Date Rape by Sublime.  It doubly makes me laugh because it reminds me of the time that this song was played during my Social Issues class in college.

26. A Song You Can Play on an Instrument: N/A since I don’t play anything.  I guess Jingle Bells or something.  I feel like that was one of the first songs in a how to play guitar book I was given.

27. A Song You Wish You Could Play: N/A.  If I wanted to play something, I probably would’ve learned an instrument.  I’ll go with Gimme Shelter by The Rolling Stones because it’s awesome.

28. A Song That Makes You Feel Guilty: Bleed American by Jimmy Eat World

29. A Song From Your Childhood: Smells Like Teen Spirit by Nirvana

30. Your Favorite Song at This Time Last Year: I don’t know.  I’ll just say Savior by Rise Against since it feels like it’s been a while.
